We are looking for an experienced Embedded System Engineer to design, build and test a new line of Bluetooth 5 sensor products for lighting installations and work with a team of fellow engineers and developers to bring the products to commercialization



Roles and responsibilities

1. Architect, design and program embedded systems.
2. Design, build and test product prototypes and samples
3. Design, supervise and execute a wide range of software, mechanical and electronic tests.
4. Verify proofs of concept and confirm product’s parameters are within specification.
5. Debug and troubleshoot issues detected in hardware and software.
6. Maintain code, implement bug fixes and new features into existing products.
7. Document design specifications, procedures, BOMs and issues tackled
8. Create documentation for production assembly, testing and quality control.
9. Provide production support for new products, assembly procedure and test sequences.

Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronic engineering or Computer Science
2. Proven working experience in embedded design utilizing ARM Cortex microcontrollers and necessary tool chain for programming and development.
3. Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
4. Strong troubleshooting and testing background and a good sense to track down problems to their root cause in both hardware and software
5. Hands on experience with handling electronics for assembly, testing and repair. Basic to intermediate soldering and electronic rework skill.
6. Hands on experience with test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
7. Basic schematic and PCB design in Altium Designer or Circuit Studio.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus.

Other Requirements

Knowledge of wireless design, antennas and RF principles.
