CGTN
China Global Television Network, or CGTN, is China’s new international media organization. It was launched by the national broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) on December 31, 2016.
By launching CGTN, we want to re-brand our product to the world, to cope with the global trend in media convergence.
CGTN English is the flagship channel. The strategy, “Mobile first”, aims to fulfill the demands of global viewers and users for easier access to content on different platforms.
With an international team of professionals from more than 70 countries and regions, CGTN is an investment in the future of news media.

ART DIRECTOR:
We are seeking an Art Director to manage and oversee the artistic design and project management of the network from our global headquarters in Beijing.

Key responsibilities:

Lead a collaborative team of designers and animators and production coordinators.
Develop concepts and packages for broadcast with internal and external creative teams that are aligned with the network’s brand.
Oversee and approve workflow for a dozen designer/animators in all manner of motion and web graphics.
Manage projects from conceptualization to delivery for all news programming.
Directly contributing to project design and development: creating storyboards/initial graphic concepts, conceiving functional design solutions for sets.
Providing quality assurance of all creative deliverables.
Collaborating with show producers on concept and execution of projects and requests ensuring that network branding remains consistent.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at once.
Mentoring and coaching team members through project development and performance management.
Building and maintaining a rapport with graphics producers, producers, partner agencies, animation houses, and other vendors.
Contribute to the innovative development of the creative Department.
