Job Description
Introduction
The Marketing team is the key driver of italki’s business. Our campaigns span through both online (social media, content, digital ads, email, blogs, publications, affiliate networks, public relations, etc.) and offline mediums (magazines, print, events, etc.). Being an internet-based business focused on a global market, it is essential that we keep growing and improving our campaigns by channeling fresh, innovative ideas and putting them into action.

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and action-driven individual who can bring forth this passion into the Marketing team. The Senior Brand Manager will lead our Brand & Consumer Insights department reporting to the Marketing Director. The ideal candidate has the ability to provide strategic leadership, drive consensus across different teams, and tap into killer creative instincts.

Responsibilities
• Create clear, concise and up to date brand guidelines for internal and external partners
• Ensure the consistency and quality of our our branding across all departments and global markets
• Develop and devise integrated campaigns in partnership with other marketing team members, across media channels and countries
• Drive creative development across online, mobile, and other formats as applicable in partnership with the marketing communications team
• Create insights presentations using both primary and secondary data sources that tell compelling, strategic stories about consumer behavior
• Develop deep understanding of both our current and future customer using both qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Establish financial targets, business objectives, and brand strategies that will facilitate positive company growth.
• Create a budget and organize resources to meet quarterly objectives.

Requirements
• 8+ years experience creating and marketing brands (education, online or e-commerce) – must know how to go “big”
• Experience in market research and consumer insights
• Experience managing creative development and media planning/buying partners, from briefing through execution
• Blend of creativity and analytical skill with a strong results-oriented, metrics-driven approach to problem solving
• Strategically-driven – Able to turn data into real insights and share across organization to drive change
• Excellent English language communication skills, both oral and written
• Experience running international campaigns outside of China
• Experience managing external advertising agencies
• Passionate about branding, marketing technology, creative campaigns

Preferences
• MBA or other similar advance degree or coursework is a plus.
• Fluent in Chinese or other languages
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Experience with growth hacking or cross-functional growth initiatives

Additional Information
• Experience on the language learning industry is a plus
