We are currently taking applications for the Thomas International School in Shanghai, Jinan and Hefei. We are seeking professional high school subject teachers for the 2018-2019 academic year.

The Thomas School is a high-end international school, introducing top-ranking international educational resources and school operations capacities overseen by Ambright Education Group, in cooperation with Jinan High-tech Holding Group Co., Ltd. The school is expected to nourish 3,000 students in total, and will start to enroll students in Fall 2018.

All Thomas Schools in China are international schools run by Ambright Education Group, modeled after the curriculum and school management of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia, United States, and brought to China by the Ameson Education and Cultural Exchange Foundation, a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. Contributing to the development of the pedagogical methods and school construction are the University of Cambridge, Stanford University, HighScope Educational Research Foundation in the United States, and other internationally renowned educational institutions.

Job Description:
• Teach Engineering Technology at an international high school (Electronics, Prototyping, Computer Aided Design, Mechanics/Applied Physics Engineering Design)
• Design teaching plans, and assign & correct homework according to curricular requirements
• Prepare and administer tests, quizzes, and other student assessments as needed
• Report student performance in a timely manner
• Provide needed guidance to students and parents
• Organize student activities
• Guide students throughout independent research projects

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant major
• At least 2 years’ experience teaching Engineering Technology if the candidate does not have an advanced degree in the subject area
• Thorough understanding of Engineering Technology
• Good team player and solid communication skills
• Native English speaker
