Responsibilities
  • Processes purchase orders and communicates with end users and vendors to confirm/track orders.
  • Develops, implements, processes, monitors, and coordinates payment for purchases and identifies cost saving and quality improvement opportunities. Obtains usage history to determine ordering requirements. Consults catalogs, contracts, vendors, wholesalers, and alternative sources to obtain pricing, availability, product information, and product.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to meet regulatory requirements, assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment and payment issues, implementation and selection of products/services, and systems/performance implementation and measures.
  • Serves as a liaison between departments, internal/external customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including pricing discrepancies, product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management, and vendor support.
  • Serves as an initial point of contact regarding inventory, invoice, and vendor inquiries. Resolves issues within scope of authority or escalates issues to appropriate resources.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Associate's degree in related field preferred.
