Job Description
English Language Program (ELP) at AEMG is currently seeking to appoint additional experienced and suitably qualified teachers to provide high quality, professional, student-centered teaching and learning to a wide range of students across AEMG and Universities' partnership programs located in China. By using best-practice teaching methods, innovative technology and online resources, you will prepare and deliver quality lessons to meet the needs of undergraduate students in their first two years of study enrolled in General English Program (GEP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Academic Research Skills (DEP).

Service of foreign teachers is based on a working contract. A one-year working contract consists of two semesters; each semester has about 18 weeks.

Selection criteria
• Postgraduate qualifications – Master Degree preferred in TESOL or Master of Education\ Linguistics or Arts with TESOL certificate/diploma or a degree including TESOL/LOTE methods;
• One to three years (full-time) of teaching experience;
• Previous teaching ESL/EFL at a secondary school is preferable;
• Ability to understand and help students to learn complex and subtle concepts of language and language learning; be well familiar with contemporary pedagogical trends; able to demonstrate and use student-centered approaches and methods in the classroom; ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and on time and be familiar with online technology, PCs, power point, teaching resources for educational purposes;
• Have an interest in Chinese culture, languages, people and learning; adaptability and openness to new approaches and ideas; desire to develop professionally; ability to contribute positively to a culture of continuous learning;

Additional requirements
Be fit and of good health;
Age limit when applying for long term contract

Working hours and contract
Opportunities to extend the contract depending on the performance and review results at the end of each semester;
Teaching hours per week -16-20 hours,
Other service hours per week - minimum 6-8 hours per week.

Successful applicants will receive
1. Monthly payment is negotiable and will depend on your qualifications and experience;
2. Offer accommodation, but not including electricity, water, telephone, network charges (according to the fee requirement regulation in the university).
