Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the responsibilities will be numerous and varied. In particular, this position will involve providing comprehensive human resource services to all SAS employees and statistical reporting.
SUPERVISED, EVALUATED BY & REPORTS TO:
Human Resources Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
➢ Bachelors Degree in HR Management, Business Management or related field.
➢ At least five years relevant experience.
➢ Experience in recruitment and selection process preferred.
➢ Excellent knowledge and use of advanced applications pertaining to Excel.
➢ Data-driven with solid analytical and reporting skills.
➢ Effective in applying employment law and other relevant legislation to human resources processes.
➢ Ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
➢ Efficient and effective in handling matters consistently, accurately, timely and confidentially.
➢ Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
➢ Strong attention to detail.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Recruiting
o Take responsibility for all recruitment logistics.
o Design and prepare all necessary material needed for recruiting.
➢ Orientation of new employees
o Prepare and issue necessary documentation for new hires.
o Coordinate all necessary procedures for the successful transition of all overseas hires.
o Provide support to new hires to ensure that the settling in process is smooth and successful.
➢ Data Management and Reporting
o Provide internal and external parties with statistical information relating to employee information.
o Proactively identify process improvements and conduct system needs analysis to ensure systems are being used at maximum capacity and identify and recommend possible improvements.
o Identify any areas for improvement and work with vendors on any upgrades to ensure that the system continues to satisfy the needs of the school.
➢ Human Resources Generalist
o Deal with day-to-day employee issues.
o Consult with managers and administrators on HR issues, including, but not limited to recruitment, performance management and compensation administration.
➢ Administer and communicate established policies and procedures and ensure that a consistent approach is applied throughout the school.
➢ Co-ordinate staffs contract renewals.
➢ Manage assigned personnel files and database.
➢ Respond to inquiries of staff, parents and/or students, for the purpose of providing information on behalf of Shanghai American School.
➢ Other reasonable duties as assigned.
