Job Title: General Technical Support, South China

Report to: Territory Manager – Southern Region

Location: Shenzhen/Guangzhou

The Challenge

• Key areas of accountability/responsibility, approach the aligned industry and dig out the potential opportunities based on DSM product portfolio
• Responsible to support AM getting technical approvals from customers / end users, provide product and mold advice to customers regarding design aspects
• Responsible to translate customer requirements into product specifications to recommend existing products or, if needed, to draw up product development specifications (consultation with product development, GTPM, to submit PDRs
• Responsible to make proposals and recommendations regarding: optimum grades, processing, design
• Responsible (at request of the R&T Manager/ PM) to develop (possible multi product) technical know-how for the relevant (global) segment and develop multiplication tools for successful application/product combinations
• Create understanding of a wide range of technologies and businesses, translate application requirements into product properties
  

The Ideal

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in science or technology
• Knowledge of industries and markets, in-depth knowledge of products and/or applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English)and social skills
• Know how on/experience on processing and design
• Extensive experience in application and processing of engineering plastics in the Electrical industry
• Extensive experience in product design/testing/regulations/applications/VA-VE /market trends of different devices used in power distribution Is desirable
• Frequent Travel is required
