Job Description

The Accountant will support the Studio general accounting within Disney Asia Pacific Shared Business Services, providing high quality accounting and business services to APAC region.The tasks include assisting with: 1) Day to day accounting activities including cash application 2) quarterly accounting closing 3) Quarterly financial reporting and Disney controls reporting 4) Ad-hoc financial projects. The person will be instrumental to review accounting duties and implementing internal control and finance policies to maintain accurate general ledger.


Responsibilities :
  • All GL related entries posting like accrual /amortization/reclassifications etc.
  • Perform GL account reconciliation according to time schedule,
  • Perform cash application,
  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing and all follow up on the long time outstanding items,
  • Work closely with finance team to ensure all the transactions have been captured properly,
  • Work closely with statutory & tax accounting team to ensure tax related compliance,
  • Work with Studio controllership team for quarterly deliverables and variance analysis
  • Understanding of company-wide accounting policies and apply relevant policies appropriately
  • Identify and drive areas of improvement within current processed with aim of maintaining the current high standard of service provided
  • Support the external audit and internal management audits
  • Any other internal reports required by different stakeholders
  • Any other tasks assigned by line manager

Basic Qualifications :

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Good knowledge of Korean language, both written and oral

  • Good knowledge of English language, both written and oral

  • University Degree, major in Finance, Accounting

  • 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience preferred

  • Solid Microsoft suite skills, especially Excel, Word and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Partially /Fully Certified CPA/ACCA

  • SAP experience
