Principle duties and essential functions

As a supply chain buyer, acting a team player to forecast supply plan and maintain related statistics, to manage supplier to improve the efficiency and ensure the on-time delivery.

• Supply Planning: Creation of supply plans (Supplier Forecast) and related statistics as a result of the MRP calculations
• Improve supplier OTD performance, understand products LT profile, could drive supplier to reduce LT, build up strategy buffer......
• Manage supplier delivery on daily basis, escalate for any of urgent issue like delivery decommit, material shortages, production quality etc......
• Daily demand check and fulfillment of related purchase order creation within the MRP planning cycle
• Daily check of exception messages as a result of changed demands and initiative of related actions (cancellation, pull-in, push-out,...) to secure stock targets and on-time delivery targets “to request” and “to commit”
• Inventory management for the purchasing material owned in personal responsibility
• Recurrence of availability of the materials owned within the responsibility
• Material master maintenance incl. lead-times, pricing, safety stocks, purchasing info records...
• Control and implement actions to support the achievement of related stock targets
• Conduct NPI/transfer project planning/purchasing in terms of supply from China.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects to drive process optimization
• Improve and develop ERP skills continuously
• Develop and control actions to support division, departmental and personal goals (Stocks; OTD; Lead-times;...)

Knowledge, skills and experience required

• 5 years or above working experience in supply chain buyer field
• Strong analytic skills
• Good command of English
• MS-Office User
• SAP (or different ERP system) user
• Team player, resilience, reliability
• Project management skills
• Skills to lead people (team lead, project lead)

Education

• Bachelor degree or above
