Job Description
The Next Generation and Standards (NGS) group in Technology, Systems Architecture & Client Group) is looking for a Sr SW Engineer responsible for development of SW tools and applications for 5G and other emerging technologies such as AI and Media. It involves frontend, middleware and backend software solution development to expedite the development of Intel's advanced technology prototyping systems. Perform with team leads to analyze and develop creative solutions to complex problems.

Candidate must possess very good communication skills in English and solid understanding and experience with software engineering development process and project life cycle.

Qualifications

� MS, or PhD in CS, CE, EE or equivalent discipline. MS with 7+ years. PhD with 2+ years.
� 3+ years of strong experience in developing SW Apps/Platform SW/driver in C/C++/C# for Linux, Windows, or Android is a must
� 2+ year of Visual Studio
� Knowledge on TCP/IP, Network programming, IPC programming, and multithread programming
� Strong debugging skills and hands on experience on SW debugging tool, e.g. gdb
� Experience with software development and configuration management tools (i.e. Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA)
� Web application or stand-alone application development including UI and engine
� SW design experience based on SW architecture
� 2+ years of experience leading a small SW project team

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
� Development experience based on open source projects
� Multicore programming
� Real Time SW development
� Knowledge on audio and video systems
� Working knowledge on container
� Any development experience on Deep learning, AR, VR is highly preferred.
