Job Description
Software Technical Consulting Engineers (TCE's) focus on enabling internal and external customers to be successful with Intel platforms through use of Intel Software Developer Tools. This is done through technical consulting and support, training, customer presentations, and handson assistance in areas of code development, debugging, tuning and scaling software applications. TCE's contribute to new product development by representing the customers' technical requirements and by doing technical competitive analysis. For competitive performance analysis TCE's may engage in activities such as workload development, performance monitoring and performance estimations. TCE's also partner with the sales team and participate in customer visits.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in computer science or Mathematics, Physics or in computer engineering
- 3+ years of software development experience using C/C++ or Fortan 90
- 3+ years of software development experience in Linux or Windows environments
- 2+ years with software engineering processes and software product life cycles.
- Some knowledge/development experience with using any Intel Performance Libraries including any of MKL, IPP, DAAL and TBB or any other 3rd-party performance libraries
- Some knowledge or enabling experience in any of verticals including Client Server Protocol, Networking, Data Base, Digital Surveillance, Storage, Finance, Manufacturing, Oil&Gas, Automotive, Industrial, etc
- Strong communications skills, strong analytic and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Intel Software development tools like Intel Compilers, VTune, etc.
- Experience of low level optimizations for IA.
- Experience with parallel programming.
- Experience with GPU programing language and libraries
- Experience with Cuda programming
- Knowledge with one of these scripting languages: Python, Julia, Scala, and R.
- Working knowledge of shell scripts and the GNU tool chain on Linux and/or familiarity with the Microsoft* Visual Studio build environment.
- Customer facing experience
