Job Description
Your role
Provide financial analysis to the Head of Planning & Performance Reporting to support delivery of all regular reporting requirements
Liaise with country Planning & Performance Management (PPM) teams to ensure accurate submission of regular financial results
Provide messaging on financial performance for specific parts of the profit and loss
Assist in production of commentaries for monthly performance packs and relevant segment level reporting
Assist in the co-ordination of the annual planning cycle for the country including liaison with finance teams to ensure the accurate uploading of financial data
Assist in resolution of segment queries for specific items within the profit and loss account
Assist in the provision of detailed financial analysis to support regional team. Take responsibility within the Expense function in focus areas
Provide review and analysis of expenses on a regular basis to link direct expense reporting to achievement of group targets
Drive consistency and transparency in the region’s expense reporting
Support delivery of IFRS 17 reporting requirements
Assist the APAC Business Performance Managers, Head of PPM and CFO with results and preparation of material to facilitate the Business Reviews
Coordination of Internal Control Framework requirements for APAC region

Your Skills and Experience
Financial and / or operational management experience in the Financial Services Industry or a professional services firm
University qualification in a business or accounting discipline
Professional Accounting Qualification desirable but not mandatory
Professional Project Management Qualification desirable but not mandatory
Experience in Life & Savings reporting and expense management with understanding of key drivers
Familiarity with the global insurance industry
Experience in working in a global environment with individuals from different backgrounds and cultures
Ability to work well and develop mutual respect with our Leadership and their organizational peers in a matrix environment
Accounting knowledge required
Very strong financial analysis skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity and multi-task and work under pressure
Experience and knowledge in building up new processes and reporting
Ability to build networks and relationships
Strong project management skills
