About the Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to join our expanding Finance Team to be based in our Hong Kong office.

As a member of the Asia Finance Leadership team, the position will function operationally and strategically to support and develop the FCM Travel Solutions and our growth. This role will be responsible for the financial health, management and reporting of the FCM Hong Kong operations, provide business partner and support to the senior management team and develop the commercial acumen of operational leaders. This role is also responsible for leading and developing the FCM Hong Kong Accountants to provide high quality finance support to all the FCM businesses across Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Senior Management with operational and financial input;
• Design and implement management reports effectively capturing the key business indicators;
• Develop financial models to support strategic business initiatives;
• Conduct business reviews identifying productivity improvement opportunities;
• Drive and support business improvement projects;
• Responsible for preparation of all management and financial reporting;
• Responsible for the financial systems and data integrity;
• Coordination of the forecast and budget processes;
• Financial control across all areas of the business including financial results, audit process, support accounts and wage accuracy;
• Monitor and reduce risk across all operational teams
• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the HK accountants;
• Facilitate career planning processes;
• Support training and development initiatives.

Requirements:

• Commercial acumen and technical knowledge in Hong Kong compliance and financial related regulations
• CPA (or equivalent) qualified (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in shared services will be highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business strategy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
• Strong analytical skills with initiative to resolve issues or pursue business opportunities as they are identified
• Strong customer focus – with service industry/travel background
• High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
