Job Description
Overview
Support and build a strong team of application chemists/specialists for pre-sales and post-sales supports to Bruker’s Life Science Mass Spectrometry business. The position will be required to provide instrument demonstrations & sample analyses for prospective BDAL LSMS customers, and applications & technical support and trainings to other BDAL LSMS customers in China.
Responsibilities
- To become an expert in running BDAL LSMS MALDI-TOF and MRMS systems, through extensive training (local & international), on-the-job learning and using prior experience.
- Perform data analysis with statistical and bioinformatics software tools.
- Be involved in publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals with key customer site scientists.
- Participate in the general laboratory and BDAL LSMS instrument. maintenance, maintaining the BDAL LSMS instruments in peak performing condition.
- Perform demonstrations and sample analyses for prospective customers using on-site BDAL LSMS instrumentation and provide expert advice to customers during the sales process.
- Perform customer support including phone & email support, as well as travel to customer sites for on-site support.
- Perform training courses on BDAL LSMS instrumentation and software for customers.
- Perform and assist in the production of marketing materials and other documentation as necessary.
- Attend applicable conferences representing BDAL LSMS and deliver oral and/or poster presentations including at Bruker workshops/seminars.
Qualifications
- Master degree or Ph.D degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field is a pre-requisite.
- Minimum 3-years of hands-on user experience in operating ESI-MS (preferably FTMS) and MALDI-MS instrumentation. Experience with Bruker MS instrumentation is considered an advantage.
- Highly motivated, team player, quick learner, self starter and problem solver.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative research environment.
- Ability to dissect problems and projects into manageable tasks.
