Mobility is the goal

  • Evaluate and define Regional Purchasing strategy for steel fabrication Category and Subcategories to meet Schindler's business requirements
  • Analyzed procurement needs, combined with market analysis, formulated and promoted the implementation of procurement strategies
  • Research and follow up the supply market and the development of new materials and technologies, identify opportunities to reduce direct material procurement costs
  • Coordinated technical and quality resources, led or participated in the annual project reduction
  • Effectively formulate annual budget for cost reduction based on market dynamics and the promotion status of relevant cost reduction projects
  • Lead the negotiation of procurement framework contracts and ensure the annual update of relevant procurement agreements
  • Maintain the annual list of key suppliers, and maintain different levels of cooperation according to the supplier classification;
  • Implement the principle of quality and price preference, recommend reliable suppliers by means of bidding and other tools, and coordinate and participate in the review of new suppliers
  • Reviewed and evaluated quotations, and implemented business negotiations with suppliers
  • Support sales and order processing departments in relevant business to ensure the acquisition and timely delivery of non-standard project orders;
  • Analyze suppliers' purchasing and quality indicators, and promote suppliers' improvement
  • Support the delivery and cost reduction improvement of relevant business units in Europe and the United States
  • Actively support and cooperate with internal customers' improvement requirements

  • Working knowledge of business systems (SAP procurement modules, e-procurement, etc.)
  • Experience in complex global negotiations
  • Able to create strong contractual agreements with minimum of legal assistance
  • Professional experience in international project/change management
  • Experience of working in complex matrix organizations
  • Proficient in oral and written English
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and organizational skills
  • Project management experience, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, social competence
  • Team builder / player, hands on worker
  • Be familiar with SAP or similar ERP
  • Good IT skills, familiar with MS Office
  • Ability to interact in a cross-functional-and-cultural environment
  • PM – Graduate (Engineering & Business) with Professional Purchasing Qualification
  • NPMS – Graduate with Professional Purchasing Qualification (CPM, CIPS etc…)
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in purchasing within a multinational company in machinery industry, mainly focus on steel fabrication /steel structure
  • Experience in escalator industry is plus.
  • Familiar with sourcing process including (supplier development process, localization process, product cost down process, supplier phase out process) and purchase order and delivery management, cost and price analysis.
