• The plant M-QI (Module Quality Engineer) ensures the target-orientated, preventive and reactive quality work within the module. The plant M-QI manages, controls and monitors the quality work, as well as project-related continuation of quality work with the Ex-main departments. The M-QI leads the Module-Q-Team to achieve the quality targets.

Major Responsibilities

• Steering responsibility for achieving agreed Q-targets along the module with transparency.
• Responsibility for complete Q-management for the Module Team in projects. This applies to the development phase, series phase until the End of Service.
• Ensures consistency of the implementation of Q-processes between M-Q Team in the FIZ and the plant.
• "Prioritization of the problem landscape and naming of the LeLe topics in the module and escalate to higher management if necessary.

Performance of Q-RSKM (Risk Management) and PMP (problem management process) under the consistent application of Q-methods for the scope of his module.
Assessment of changes in their impact on quality target.
Decision-making whether a problem (PQM point) is accepted by the module.
Defining the required quality methods in coordination with ML (Module Leader) and FTL (Fachteamleiter)
Directly reporting to line manager. Report on technical issues to modul leader, PK-QI and Fachteamleiter.
Contract negotiation with engineering service providers (ESP) and the supplier if necessary.

• Dipl.-Ing., Dr.-Ing., BSc, MSc, PhD in mechanical, aeronautical, electrical, electronic engineering.
• Fundamental engineering and automotive experience (quality related experience eligible)
• In depth experience in BMW processes and engineering workflows

Strategic and analytic thinking and acting

• Cross-departmental operation know-how
• High knowledge of Q-processes, methods and tools (e.g. PQM, GWK-Info, FMEA, PDCA, 8D...)
• Able to work under pressure

• Professional R&D experience in mechanical, aeronautical, electrical, electronic industry or similiar. 4-6 Years
• Well established network within the BMW engineering division. Profound knowledge of BMW processes especially of the problem management process. 1-3 Years
