Cricut is seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Product Quality & Reliability Engineer to join our Global Quality Engineering team. You will be responsible to formulating test strategy, design and develop test plans for new & existing products based on the Product Requirements and Engineering Specifications. You should be able to drive the projects independently, represent QA concerns in meetings with cross-functional, project team and sub contract manufacturing partners.

• Expertise working with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering as well as Industrial Design to develop requirements, test plans, and process for hardware product quality and reliability
• Hands-on experience contributing in electrical/mechanical design reviews and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) identifying opportunities to improve the product
• Worked independently and with cross functional team members globally to develop and deliver Product Risk Analysis (DFMEA, NUDD and Lesson Learned) to ensure high risk items are prevented prior to validating the final design.
• Experience conducting IPQC, first-article inspections (FAI), site audits, and process failure mode effects analysis (PFMEA) at contract manufacturers and suppliers
• Expertise in driving to root-cause through failure analysis (FA) through Eight Disciplines (8D), design of experiments (DOE), etc. to drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) through all stages of the product lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with environmental and electrical testing: thermal, humidity, vibe, shock, drop/tumble, HALT/HASS, transient, surge, brown-out, ESD, 4-corners, etc.
• Utilized quality engineering tools and techniques such as Six Sigma tools, gage R&R, SPC, DOE, design for reliability to continuously improve and enhance product reliability.
• Ability to concisely communicate or present defect, failure, risk, and opportunity data to Engineering, Quality and Product teams
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Test Engineers to validate manufacturing lines and led continuous improvement initiatives such as process and gage capability studies on test stations resulting in improved yields throughout manufacturing process
• Supervised and monitored junior testers
• Recommend product’s readiness at EVT, DVT, MPQ and MP gate exits.

Required Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 8+ years of hands-on technical work experience in consumer electronic product development and high volume manufacturing, Excellent understanding of electronic assembly processes.
• Knowledgeable in production control processes, data analysis/interpretation GR&R, Cp/Cpk and correlation analysis.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills with good spoken and written English.
• Self-starter, capable of working independently while making sound technical / business judgments and building strong cross functional relationships
• Experience with any of the following: mechanical parts, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or automotive high volume quality manufacturing engineering

• Project management and people management will be a bonus.
• Working knowledge of FCC/CE/UL compliance testing and documentation will be a bonus.
