Job Description
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversight of outsourced providers, including freight forwarders and ocean carriers
- Identify and implement creative solutions to operational challenges and opportunities
- Exhibit strong working knowledge of global supply chain fundamentals
- Regularly monitor and evaluate service provider and vendor performance
- Implement procedural and technological process improvements between merchandising, vendors, 3PLs and transportation providers.
- Build partnerships with new and existing service providers
- Partner with freight forwarder to provide orientation and training to new vendors (existing vendors as needed) with a focus on THD shipping requirements
- Bachelor degree
- 6 years’ experience in international supply chain
- Preferred experience in the areas of: trade management, pricing, operations management, transpacific shipping
- Proficient with Microsoft software suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Strong Ethical Behavior

- Planning & Organizing - Once given general assignments, determines priorities and defines what should be done and how to do it
- Sense of Urgency - Under regular pressure to meet deadlines and must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations
- Analytical Skills – Must be able to manipulate and draw conclusions from large datasets
- Attention to Detail
- Building Relationships – Must be able to collaborate and work effectively with providers, vendors and other THD associates.
