This posting will play an important role enhancing the visibility of KPMG’s lines of business: Advisory, Tax and Audit by providing a full spectrum of Public Relations communications. The candidate will need to be able to think proactively and communicate effectively to achieve a comparative advantage in this space.

The right candidate will have strong contacts in the Hong Kong media, both for print and broadcast. The individual will help to leverage thought leadership opportunities, position key partners as commentators on key issues and hot topics, and proactively drive media coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Create content to drive customized, effective and cost-efficient media plans
  • Identify opportunities (topical and regional) to tell a wider KPMG message that supports the firm’s overall business goals
  • Deliver successful marketing campaigns through the use of various channels, including but not limited to press release, advertising, digital media, events, etc.
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with media contacts for various campaigns and programs
  • Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of different media channels and programs in order to optimize strategy and monetise return on investment (ROI)
  • Track and communicate media results
  • Identify potential risks to protect KPMG’s reputation and provide solutions in managing crisis communication
  • Support ad-hoc marketing projects

Experience

  • A university degree holder in marketing, public relations (PR) or journalism
  • A minimum of 6 year’s PR and/or journalism experiences – preferably in a financial services environment
  • Effective communicator in written and verbal English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Data analysis experience to track ROI activities
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • A self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Pro-active, innovative and forward thinking with an ability to develop content ideas and insights
  • Strong project management skills and crisis management experience
  • Proven experience in managing the press and coordinating media campaigns
