ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clore Automotive, LLC is a leader providing products for the global professional vehicle aftermarket. The company has a very active product development agenda, plus ongoing high volume production relationships throughout China. The company works with our supply chain on constant and ongoing improvements. We are customer focused, ensuring that every portion of our supply chain is designed to move product from concept to continuous production, to our centrally located distribution center in Kansas City Missouri, and finally to our customer’s system. Oversight of supplier quality systems is a key component to our success.

We seek a dedicated individual to lead our Supply Chain Operational Quality efforts. This position is a dedicated, independent contractor that leads a team of two additional auditor / inspectors: one located in the Shanghai area, and the other located in the Shenzhen area. Directing and coordinating the quality team, this person will oversee our quality initiatives with numerous major suppliers and several support suppliers.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Manage all Human Resources issues for China team.

• Manage Payroll & China Tax Requirements

2) Support the Kansas City Quality Team

• Conduct production line inspections.
• Conduct Supplier Quality Audits.
• Pre-Shipment Product Inspections

3) Support the Kansas City Engineering Team

• Review supplier’s engineering procedures.
• Project Management Support for product development efforts.

4) Support the Kansas City Purchasing Team

• Find new suppliers as needed.
• Conduct supplier assessments.
• Verify accuracy of Production Schedules.

5) Support the Kansas City Marketing and Product Management Teams

• Translation / Interpretation support for
• Documents
• Visits to China
• Video Conferences
• Support Marketing in achieving our “Look and Feel” by working closely with suppliers, and their packaging suppliers.

6) Support the Kansas City Ocean Traffic Team

• Support our China Freight Forwarders
• Ensure good supplier reporting procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Language Degree, Business Degree or Technical Degree
• Must be fluent with English Communication, Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese.
• 3 to 5 years of business experience in a multi-lingual environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills

• Technical Problem Solving

2) We expect you to teach the rest of the team, and any supplier that needs additional help.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The successful candidate will have fluency in English and the ability to pick up the technical language that is typical of our industry. This person will have a strong ability to work independently, and get the job done. This person will understand that when the China day ends, it is the start of the US day, and reports must be transmitted in time for Kansas City to respond before the next China day’s start.

LOCATION
This job can be filled in either the general Shenzhen area, or Shanghai area.
