High school maths teacher with international department of a private boarding school. Applicants must be on board by September 2nd, 2019. Position based in Foshan, Guangdong.

THE EMPLOYER

As a private-owned boarding school, this school is a member of the IBO. It has developed curriculum from kindergarten to secondary high school. It now has over 4,000 students at home and abroad and a faculty number of over 700.

THE POSITION

• Give classes to students of G9-G12
• Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling
• Administer standardized ability and achievement tests, and interpret results to determine children's developmental levels and needs
• Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities
• Attend staff meetings, workdays and professional development activities as assigned or recommended
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of Department

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (Education preferred)
• TEFL/TESOL 100+ hours certification minimum (CELTA/DELTA/PGCE/QTS preferred)
• Two years’ teaching experience working with second language learners preferred
• Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
• Must be able to obtain a cleared background check

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• 4000RMB housing allowance/month
• 2700RMB food allowance/month
• Up to 13,000RMB flight reimbursement

• Salary: 14,166-30,833 RMB per month
