OVERVIEW

The position of the Business Support Administrator is responsible for providing support to the Vendor Recruitment department through daily assistance with linguist recruitment and testing, database maintenance and daily support to sales and production teams with vendor-related issues and questions.

DESCRIPTION

  • Provide on-the-job support to the Vendor Recruitment, Production, Sales and QA teams

  • Act as administrative point of contact

  • Assist production, QA and Sales teams on a daily basis with vendor-related issues and questions including for on-going live client projects

  • Responsible for maintenance of supplier database ensuring all data updates are made accurately and in a timely manner cross-communicating updates with other teams where necessary

  • Responsible for supplying client-ready information in the form of blinded CVs or other requested raw data to show suitability of company internal or freelance linguistic resources for a particular client need

  • Maintaining and regularly updating internal department-facing platforms to display current information on newly-added linguists, usage, department activities & initiatives etc.

  • Running regular reporting as directed by senior members of the team or Department Manager

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal staff globally being a focal point of contact for the department

  • Strategize with direct manager to find a viable means of making processes more efficient

  • Proactively seek additional tasks and duties to benefit TransPerfect Translations as a whole

  • Research and understand all industries that TransPerfect Translations markets to, including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data

  • Be knowledgeable in the translation industry, including leaders, competitive data, proposal formats, competitive rates, and marketing strategies

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills in relation to reporting

  • Strong Excel knowledge

  • High sense of urgency

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent

  • Experience in managing databases and vendor/customer/client data accurately

  • Customer service experience
