Job Description
  • Carry out IT support and administration tasks and any other duties as required by individual team head for implementing the IT solutions in the areas of responsibility.
  • Perform on-site support duty at different hospitals / institutions in Hong Kong West Cluster.
  • Perform hardware and software installation.
  • Provide technical and user support on hospital IT systems, desktop & office automation applications, network infrastructure, etc.
  • Assist in HA corporate system implementation and planning in hospitals.
  • Provide after office hours system support.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Entry Requirements:
    • Passes in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B) & Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent.
    OR
    • 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:
      • Level 2 in English Language and Mathematics; and
      • Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects;
    or equivalent.
  • Completed a recognized diploma or higher course in IT of at least 2 years in duration.
Preferable Attributes / Exposure:
  • Good phone manner and possess a positive customer service attitude.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, pleasant and mature personality.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting Windows 7/10 and Office 2010/2016.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting iOS platform hardware such as Mac and iPad.
Remarks:
For Serving HA Staff
  • The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for up to 3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms.
    • Contract employee will be offered contract employment with an up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity subject to completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
    • Permanent employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be reverted back to his/her former substantive rank.
  • The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be determined based on the remuneration package / employment terms of the staff concerned and prevailing policies.
For External Applicants
  • Appointment will be on contract terms for up to 3 years. Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract-end gratuity may be offered subject to completion of contract with satisfactory performance.
  • Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
For All Applicants
  • Selected candidate may be required to carry out 24-hour pager support duty and will be occasionally required to provide on-site support services at different hospitals.
  • The selected candidate may be required to work shifts and irregular hours, during typhoons, rainstorms and other contingencies.
  • The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to service needs, availability of funding and job performance.
  • The selected candidate may also require to work on evenings and public holidays when necessary.
  • May be required to work in another work location to meet service needs of the HA.
