Key Responsibilities:
  • This is a leadership role in planning/purchasing within supply chain
  • Expectations for this role are to lead a planning/purchasing team to improve core processes that result in improved product availability, reduced inventory turns, lower cost and lower scrap, and efficiency
  • This position interacts with all levels of internal personnel requiring strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Effectiveness in this role also requires functional knowledge of corporate operations.
  • The job encounters recurring work situations of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity with frequent variations from the norm.
  • Requires the ability to quickly respond to changing needs by reallocating and/or managing resources according.
  • This position requires the ability to motivate others and set operational objectives.
  • Provides guidance to other exempt level personnel and may provide direct supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent field, Masters or MBA preferred.
  • Requires strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Requires a minimum of 7 years relevant management experience including staff supervision, budget accountability and project management experience. Must have experience in implementing a Sales Operations and Planning process from inception to production, and leading that process on an on-going basis.
  • Must have experience in Master Production Planning, Capacity Planning Process, DPP, MRP, Inventory Management in global, complex, high SKU environments.
  • Experienced in Sales Forecasting and Inventory Management.
  • Experienced in working in a collaborative matrix environment.
  • Experienced in leading supply chain transformation projects across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong analytical skills, with APICS or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Practical experience in leading a “lean” implementation in demand and supply planning.
