Job Description
Role Summary: Country or P&L Deploy leader with spend >$200MM, PO transactions >20,000 with direct reports Global T2 Business Deploy Leader ( Essential Responsibilities: • Develops the global Tier 2 business deploy strategy ( $200MM in spend, PO transactions >20,000 with direct reports.
  • Lead a team direct and indirectly (through influence) of [business or country or P&L] deploy sourcing professionals to ensure the global goals of the business are met.
  • Collaborates with Global Commodity Leaders to develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives.
  • Partners with the [HQ or Country or P&L] business leaders to ensure fulfillment, quality, and regulatory requirements are achieved.
  • Develops the strategy to execute cost reduction projects based on strategic imperatives of the business. Partners with business stakeholders and commodity colleagues to influence contract negotiations, drive process changes, and implement sustainable cost controls.
  • Create and/or enforce business policies to meet business targets and customer needs, including improving procurement processes and optimizing Sourcing resources to enhance the customer experience with Sourcing.
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to validate the impact of projects and contract negotiations to the general ledger.
  • Manage [business or country or P&L] Operating Plan.
  • Determine through collaboration with business leaders and commodity leaders what the indirect sourcing projects of focus should be across [the business or country or P&L] to drive deflation, usage, cash, and PSL (preferred supplier lists).
  • Determine the appropriate savings projects and drive throughout the organization.
  • Lead VCP (variable cost productivity) for indirect material and services across all commodities as well as monitors and drives cost-out initiatives aligning to commodity strategy
  • Proactively monitors risks, own escalations, mitigation and initiatives necessary for corrective actions
  • Leads the evaluation process for business related commodity and suppliers for business or region
  • Monitor supplier performance and communicate issues back to commodity team for resolution.
  • Engage with the broader Sourcing organization for the [business or country or P&L and participate in [business or country or P&L] wide strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Prepare, present, and influence senior leaders on current and future sourcing imperatives
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Sourcing
  • Minimum 3 years experience leading teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Desired Characteristics: • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering
  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and improve processes
  • Change agent with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Process leadership experience such as CAP, Work-Out, process improvement, or quality is preferred (Internal GE employees only)
  • CPM or APICS certification
  • Six Sigma trained & certified
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to to lead in a matrixed organization
