Our client is a leading Switzerland luxury good company with particular strength in jewellery, watched and writing instruments. They own quite a few well-known luxury good brand under their maisons. Headquartered in Sweden, they have a global workforce of about 6000 people.

This position is to act as an Anti-counterfeiting Enforcement Paralegal in China for the Intellectual Property team, which sits within the Group Legal function at the company. You also need to provide support in connection with offline and digital anti-counterfeiting investigations, litigation, and enforcement, including the monitoring of marketplaces, social networks, mobile apps and 3D printing.

• Investigate, monitor and analyse offline and digital content for infringing activity.
• Manage external law firms and investigation providers.
• Liaise with governmental and non-governmental bodies.
• Develop relationships with key online entities (B2B/B2C/C2C/Social media/Apps).
• Research, identify and analyse industry trends.
• Prepare and present reports to internal team and external parties.
• Develop relationships with internal clients to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with by the appropriate person in a timely manner and feedback is provided on progress/action.
• Create adaptive solutions to address specific Maison needs.
• Manage third party monitoring providers and oversee enforcement e.g. offline enforcement, marketplaces and social media.
• Maintain internal databases up-to-date.
• Escalate enforcement issues within Maisons to ensure that appropriate action is taken.
• Collect and collate evidence and assist in the preparation of documents for in-house and outside counsel in connection with wider enforcement strategy.
• Prepare materials and training business and external parties on enforcement matters.

A candidate with 3 years' working experience in IP would be well positioned for this role. Ideally you shall have good command of spoken & written English. Basic level of Japanese skills would also be preferred in this position.

• Strong understanding of the digital technology environment.
• Familiar with latest social media & E-commerce.
• Legal (IP) environment, ideally Internet IP exposure.
• Educated in law (IP) field.
• Good Mandarin and English language communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Professional experience in an analytic or research role.
• Anti-piracy or brand protection experience.
• Knowledge of internet technologies and networks.
• Excellent organisational, written and verbal skills.
• Strong analytic skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Multi-language skills i.e. Japanese or Korea etc. would be preferred
