Our client is an European leasing company. They are looking for a Legal Counsel with a focus on litigation.

Job Description:

• Providing professional legal services and advice either in a local or international environment, in order to enable the business to achieve the defined objectives in accordance with set legal goals and standards.
• Provide legal advice and assistance in respect of collection and recovery matters
• Supervise, co-ordinate and perform litigation activities within the country.
• Contribute to the selection and instruct and coordinate the activities of international or local external lawyers and/or law firms for specified assignments, including budget and legal cost control
• Negotiating fee arrangements with external law firms
• Contribute to the development and implementation of (parts of) legal policies, procedures, processes and tools for legal areas of competence, taking into account international and/or local regulations, professional standards and specifics of the business.
• Providing legal advice to all stakeholders in China business.
• Communicating the contents of existing and upcoming regulations, policies and standards to relevant stakeholders.
• Research matters relevant to legal risk framework construction and analysis.
• Regular reporting to China Management Team, Group Legal and other stakeholders
