Job Description
Major Duties:
(a)
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
(b)
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)
To assist in curriculum and training facilities planning, design and development of engineering programmes with the specific area in railway engineering;
(e)
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes;
(f)
To participate in networking with industry and professional bodies on collaborative projects, industrial attachments, mentorship programmes and industry-based student projects of the discipline; and
(g)
To support the collaboration arrangements with other institutes in Mainland China and overseas.
Requirements:
(a)
A recognized degree in engineering or related discipline, preferably with a relevant post-graduate qualification;
(b)
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience and/or industry experience in railway engineering;
(c)
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;
(d)
Industry networking abilities including but not limited to workplace attachment, industrial mentorship schemes, and industrial-based student projects; and
(e)
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in rolling stock, track system, railway communication and signaling.

(1)
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
(2)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.
