We’re looking for a sharp analytical thinker who’s adept at project management to join our Information Technology Services team.
Work you’ll do
In this interesting and diverse role, you’ll manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for small to large projects/programs in one or more of the IT technology project portfolios. The project/program manager leads and coordinates project/program team resources to ensure project/program milestones are met and the project/program is delivered on schedule and on budget with the highest standard of quality. The project/program manager also manages project/program risk identification and resolution to keep projects/programs on track and able to deliver planned outcomes. The project/program manager may have responsibility for managing day-to-day activities of other PMO team members as well as providing coaching and performance feedback.

Responsibility



  • Manages overall planning, execution and delivery of projects/programs following IT project delivery guidelines and standards to meet technology and business requirements on time and within budget.

  • Drives program/project teams to meet project/program milestones according to planned schedule.

  • Tracks project/program progress and manages and escalates project/program issues and risks as appropriate; proactively identifies and manages the resolution of risks and issues that may negatively impact a project/program or project/program deliverables; seeks and implements innovative ways to remove project obstacles.

  • Delivers timely project/program reports and performance dashboards. Conducts regular project reviews and communicates the status of projects/programs in both formal and informal settings.

  • Manages and tracks project/program budget/variance.

  • Develops and executes project/program resource management plans.

  • Establishes and facilitates regular project/program team meetings.

  • Creates, manages and maintains all required project/program documentation.

  • Utilizes key project management tools.

  • Documents, shares, and leverages project/program lessons learned.

  • Builds relationships with stakeholders and project/program teams to effectively manage and deliver quality projects/programs.

  • Proposes changes to project methodologies, frameworks, and promotes best practices for continuous process improvement.

  • Builds, motivates and leads project/program teams; instills a mindset of collaboration and continuous process improvement.

  • Promotes the effective teamwork and spirit of partnership.

  • Provides regular and timely feedback to team members and their respective managers.

  • Informally mentors other non-PMO team members on structured methodology and best practices.

  • Talent management: Coaches/counsels direct report; Provides counseling related to career path to direct reports; Guides direct reports in developing personal learning plans; Supports skill development of direct reports; Participates in performance review and feedback process; Helps resolve performance issues for direct reports.

Qualification:




  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing large, complex, cross-functional IT projects utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering and/or related

  • Proven expertise in project estimation, planning, tracking, scope control, risk and issues management as well as status reporting.

  • Advanced knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, and presentation of metrics.

  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).

  • Demonstrated ability to encourage, motivate and mentor team members.

  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies.

  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Advanced skills in MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Education and experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering and/or related.

  • PMP/Prince 2 certification preferred.

  • Agile/Scrum master certification a plus.

Preferred:



  • Experience with ServiceNow ITBM a plus

  • Experience with Cyber Security project a plus

  • Experience working on SAP Projects a plus

  • Experience working on HR, Learning and/or Finance Projects a plus
