Essential Responsibilities: An ATE design Engineer learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in ATE design, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The ATE Design Engineer is responsible for designing automated tester release solutions.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Implementing automated tester design and qualification for subsystems or high-level assemblies based on test requirements from design engineering.
• Engaging in all phases of new product introduction, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support, to ensure effective test and product quality
• Identifying and developing continuous improvements on automated tester for better product quality and new products introduction
• Learning and adapting new technologies in instrumentation/software industry that benefits test and product quality control in MR

Quality Specific Goals:

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
• Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
• Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible

Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor or MS in Instrumentation, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years experiences on automated tester design
• Demonstrated technical depth in instrumentation, automated tester design
• Good capability on LabView or VEE
• Good knowledge in electrical and RF domain
• Working experience in Linux
• Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
• Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership
• Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and global project experience
