DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and manage plant operations for production, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality, logistic, safety & environment, NPI Launch and continues improvement
Coordinate plant activities through departmental managers to ensure corporate, group, and plant objectives are met
Provide vision and direction for the plant leadership team, while driving daily plant objectives by setting expectation and driving accountability. Initiate strategies at the plant level and carry out the delivery of plant objectives
Maximize use of the talent, resources, and systems to achieve deliverables and drive business objectives while reducing cost and meeting the needs of the customer
Ensure the efficiency and performance of the plant
Accountability for site P&L
Responsible for New Product Introduction / Launches
Develop and control profits, plans, and budgets
Deploy corporate Lean Manufacturing and other productivity initiatives
Ensure plant produces parts meeting or exceeding customer demands, delivered on time, in a safe and efficient manner
Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, staffing, wages, and salaries
Oversee capital asset maintenance, including maintaining existing plant facilities and equipment, and replacing or adjusting plant facilities and equipment when necessary
Oversee preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs
Incorporate safety, shop floor organization, and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives
Ensure compliance with country regulations
Support the research, evaluation and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems or other assets that will enhance the plant’s production capabilities and material savings
Ensure the Plant is aligned to the corporation’s business plan

1. Qualifications or Functional Experience
Essential
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent
8 years of manufacturing experience and/or operations experience
Plant management experience in a unionized environment
Experience in the automotive industry
Leadership experience in high accountability culture and metrics driven environment
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality methods
Desirable
Six sigma certification

Strong customer orientation
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques
Kaizen
Process improvement
Freight and distribution
Materials Management
Production Scheduling
