Responsible for execution of commodity / category strategies worldwide. Executes company procurement strategies, policies and tactics required to achieve objectives. Ensures execution of procurement channel and category strategies in delivery of the company internal projects and 3rd party products/services when part of company customer solutions; purchasing and buying. Coordinates purchasing activities with engineering and manufacturing departments, strategic procurement, and company Business Units to maintain inventories at planned levels (where applicable), ensure assurance of supply, maintain service levels, meet business requirements, and mitigate risk. May include inventory management. At the non-exempt level, may assist with establishing and maintaining the production control system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides extensive transactional procurement support, focusing on fundamental business, purchasing and financial controls that require a high level of technical expertise.
  • Uses procurement subject matter expertise to solve problems, ensure compliance, and improve processes.
  • Contributes to strategic initiatives and helps implement tactical solutions.
  • Performs and monitors process- oriented tasks as assigned while applying a high level of judgment and experience to align individual and team work with overall strategy; works with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Collaborates with team and internal partners to ensure established processes are followed, meet compliance requirements, and contribute to organizational goals.
  • Collaborates with teams to maintain and enhance the current business objectives and operational processes.
  • Provides independent, analytic, and tactical support with limited supervision.
  • Mentors others in lower level roles.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 4-6 years of experience in materials and/or distribution.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Mastery in Korean and local language.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English
  • Strong understanding of process workflows, basic business and financial controls, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent analytical and technical aptitude.
  • Strong business application skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good understanding of corporate compliance.
  • Good project management skills.
