Job Description
Zhengzhou maplebear is seeking for a licensed Primary Teacher to join in our brand new branch school in Zhengzhou- the capital city of Henan province.
The contract will be for 2 years. This school is based in a pleasant area of Zhengzhou with motivated children and supportive parents.
Maple Bear has developed an excellent, hands on, rigorous and relevant elementary curriculum in each subject area based on the highly successful Canadian approach to learning and instruction. The Elementary Program is designed to educate the whole child - physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
The advertised position is to work for 20- 25 hours teaching time a week with necessary working times such as preparation time, staff briefing, parent`s meetings etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for two classes. We benefit from small class sizes of up to 25.
Responsibilities:
Plan, teach and assess Primary aged Chinese pupils using the Canadian and Chinese curriculum (support from an English native speaking teacher will be available). Lessons to be taught bi-lingually (team teaching with a Chinese teacher): Science, Sport, and Art, English lessons to be taught alone (immersion), cover for the other classes is sometimes required, as well as lunchtime and playtime cover.
This is a challenging and rewarding role. Candidates should be open minded, have a sense of humor and work particularly well as part of a team.
Applicants should have previous experience working in a primary school setting, and must hold a B.ed or a P.G.C.E. in Primary Education. The advertised position is to begin on the 1st of Sept ,2019
We offer a competitive salary which is up to 20000RMB tax free , and will provide spacious free accommodation within the walking distance of the school.
