【Course Introduction】
Dear Sir/Madam,
Welcome to our Grade 7 English Advanced program! We are excited and eager to bring a dedicated and passionate native English speaker to our students to enhance their communicative and writing skills in an immersive and dynamic environment. Now, allow me to introduce more details.

Course Overview:
The course runs from the seventh grade to the first semester of the ninth grade, totaling five semesters. Each semester consists of approximately 16 teaching weeks, with two 40-minute classes per week.

Our Philosophy & Goal:
The primary goal of this course is to move students beyond textbook English and build their confidence in using English for real-world communication. We aim to create a classroom atmosphere that is fun, supportive, and highly interactive. The focus will be on Speaking, Listening, and Writing, with an emphasis on fluency, accuracy, and creative expression.

Expectations from the ESL Teacher:
We believe you are the key to providing an authentic language experience. We expect our part-time ESL teacher to:
•Be Energetic and Engaging: Use games, debates, role-plays, and multimedia to make every lesson lively.
•Create a Safe Environment: Encourage students to take risks and speak without fear of making mistakes. Error correction should be gentle and constructive.
•Focus on Communication: Prioritize fluency over perfection. The goal is for students to express their ideas effectively.
•Introduce Cultural Context: Weave aspects of your culture, holidays, and daily life into lessons to make the language come alive.
•Provide Consistent Writing Practice: Guide students from writing simple sentences to well-structured paragraphs and short essays.
•Be Adaptable: Understand the students' level and adjust the pace and content accordingly.

Desired Student Outcomes:
By the end of the five-semester program, students should demonstrate a marked improvement in:
•Listening: Ability to understand the main ideas and some details of authentic spoken English (e.g., podcasts, video clips, teacher's instructions).
•Speaking: Increased confidence and fluency in everyday conversations. Ability to express opinions, describe experiences, and participate in discussions on familiar topics.
•Pronunciation: Improved intonation, stress, and clarity.
•Writing: Ability to write a cohesive English composition(more than 200 words) using appropriate linking words, with a clear theme, logical structure, and vivid language. They should master different writing styles and be able to use advanced vocabulary, complex sentence structures, and rhetorical devices(such as metaphors, similes) to enhance the expressiveness of the compositions.
