Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced A-Level Physics teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics education, a deep understanding of the A-Level curriculum (preferably Cambridge International or Edexcel), and the ability to inspire students through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in A-Level Physics, ensuring alignment with examination board standards and practical assessment requirements.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to a diverse student body and foster a hands-on, inquiry-based learning environment.
Prepare and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed and students develop strong practical skills.
Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, including preparation for external examinations and practical endorsements.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific curiosity.
Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department and across disciplines to enhance curriculum delivery and interdisciplinary learning.
Participate in school events, professional development, and departmental meetings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Physics Education, Engineering, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in A-Level Physics or a comparable senior secondary curriculum.
Strong understanding of A-Level Physics syllabus, assessment objectives, and practical examination requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to an international and multicultural school environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching in an international or bilingual school setting.
Familiarity with educational technology and innovative tools for teaching physics (e.g., simulation software, data loggers).
Proficiency in English is essential for instruction and communication.
