Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Middle School General Science Teacher with a strong academic background in Physics to join our faculty in Beijing. The successful candidate will teach integrated science courses to middle school students (Grades 6–8), with an emphasis on building foundational scientific literacy, inquiry skills, and core physics concepts.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hands-on learning, laboratory instruction, and fostering curiosity in young learners within a multicultural educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Curriculum
• Teach middle school general science, including units in physics, life science, earth science, and chemistry
• Deliver engaging lessons with strong integration of physics principles (e.g., motion, forces, energy, electricity, waves)
• Design and conduct safe, hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Integrate technology and inquiry-based learning strategies into instruction

Assessment & Student Support
• Develop and administer formative and summative assessments
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents
• Track student progress and maintain accurate academic records
• Offer extra support sessions when necessary

Professional & School Community Engagement
• Collaborate with science department colleagues on curriculum planning
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
• Contribute to extracurricular programs such as science clubs, STEM competitions, or robotics teams
• Support the school’s mission and values in both academic and pastoral contexts

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid teaching certification or license
• At least 5 years of Science teaching experience (middle school experience preferred)
• Strong content knowledge in physics concepts and laboratory safety
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Fluent English proficiency

• Experience teaching ESL/EAL learners
