Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and qualified English Teacher of middle school. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IB philosophy and be able to inspire students, fostering a love for language and literature and helping them become critical thinkers and global citizens.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons for the English curriculum.
Skill Development: Focus on developing students' critical thinking, analytical, and academic writing skills.
IB Philosophy: Integrate the IB Learner Profile and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) into teaching.
Assessment: Manage student assessment, providing guidance on Internal Assessments (IA) and the Extended Essay (EE).
Collaboration: Work closely with the English department to review and improve the curriculum.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Literature, or a related field.
Valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, teaching license preferred).
At least 2 years of experience teaching IBDP English, with a solid understanding of the curriculum and assessment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
