Position Title: Music Teacher

Location: Various Educational Settings – International Schools, Bilingual Schools, Public Schools, etc.

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role:
We are seeking passionate and creative General Music Teachers . This role is ideal for educators who are adaptable, culturally engaged, and dedicated to inspiring students through active music-making, creative expression, and a broad appreciation of musical traditions from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging general music lessons appropriate for students’ age, grade level, and prior musical experience

Teach foundational music concepts including rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, form, and expressive elements through singing, movement, playing instruments, and listening activities

Introduce students to a diverse range of musical genres, styles, and cultures, including classical, folk, popular, and contemporary repertoire

Foster a positive, inclusive, and participatory classroom environment where students feel confident to explore, create, and express themselves musically

Guide students in hands-on music-making experiences such as classroom instruments, percussion, ukulele, recorder, or technology-based composition tools

Assess student progress through performance, creative projects, class participation, and reflective activities

Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate learners with varying abilities, interests, and cultural backgrounds

Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student development and musical growth when required

Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects, school performances, assemblies, and community events

Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with music education best practices

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Education, Music, or a related field

Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., teaching license, QTS, or equivalent) preferred

Related teaching experience required, preferably in international or diverse school settings

Strong musicianship with the ability to lead singing, basic instrumental instruction, and general music activities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds

Flexibility to adapt to different curricula (e.g., IB, IGCSE, American, National) and school environments
