Job Title: MYP Drama Teacher .
Grade Level: MYP 6–10
Language of Instruction: English
Specialization: Drama, Performance, Devising, Theatre Arts
Key Responsibilities
1.Curriculum & Instruction
Deliver inquiry-based MYP Drama curriculum in English, covering performance, devising, script writing, theatre craft, technical theatre, and intercultural theatre projects.
2.Assessment & Planning
Design formative and summative tasks aligned with MYP criteria; document student progress and provide timely, actionable feedback.
3.Production & Co-curricular
Create a safe, inclusive, expressive learning environment; organize drama productions, musicals, festivals, workshops, and public performances.
4.Collaboration
Collaborate with arts team, MYP coordinator, and homeroom teachers on interdisciplinary units and school events.
5.Communication
Communicate regularly with parents on student growth; support personalized learning and university arts portfolio preparation.
6.Professional Development
Maintain IB teaching practice and theatre expertise; participate in training and professional learning communities.
Qualifications & Requirements
1.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Drama, Theatre Arts, Performance or related field; overseas education background preferred.
2.Prior IB MYP/DP Drama teaching experience is highly desirable; familiar with MYP concept-driven learning and assessment criteria.
3.Native or near-native English proficiency; strong stage presence and classroom delivery skills.
4.Experience in directing plays, stage management, improvisation, or educational drama is a plus.
5.Passionate about international education, student-centered, collaborative, and responsible.
