Job Description
International School High School English Teacher
Starting Date:ASAP
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertakes such teaching duties / allocations as required by the Principal and in line with the contract of employment and Staff Handbook.
2. Carry out such other related duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be requested by the Principal within the limitations of the teacher’s contract.
3. Creates a positive, stimulating, academic and risk free environment in which students can thrive educationally and socially.
4. Ensures that all students are aware of and follow the school rules and class-based behaviorial agreements.
5.Attends all regular departmental or team meetings.
6.Carries out teaching-related tasks as requested by the Administration.
7.Participates in year-level or subject-based field trips as requested.
8.Supports the school and its programmes in a professional and collegial manner.

Required Qualifications & Experience
1) Native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
2) Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, TEFL/TESOL, or equivalent) with proven experience in international school settings.
3) Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience delivering Cambridge IGCSE/A-Level English programs.
4) Demonstrated expertise in classroom management, student assessment, and data-driven instruction.
5) Strong understanding of Cambridge assessment objectives, mark schemes, and examiner reports.
6) Proficiency in using digital learning platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Seesaw, Teach Cambridge) and multimedia resources to enhance instruction.
7) Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with a commitment to student well-being and safeguarding.
Preferred Qualifications
1) Master’s degree in Education or TESOL.
2) Experience with Cambridge Checkpoint or Cambridge Primary English programs.
3) Prior experience working in Chinese international schools or with bilingual student populations.
