Sales Representative
Job Responsibilities
1. Customer development and visits
Based on the target customer list provided by the company (gas stations, roadside restaurants, retail stores, mobile phone repair shops, schools, churches, clinics, farms, small engineering installers, etc.), develop daily/weekly visit plans and strictly implement them. Independently complete offline visits, showcase products to customers, collect demands, establish preliminary cooperative relationships, explore new wholesale channels, and establish cooperative relationships with local solar product distributors
2. Customer file management
Establish a complete customer profile for each visited customer, including: customer name, contact person, contact information (WhatsApp/phone), business location type, installation scenario description, current lighting method, intended product model, budget range, and follow-up records. Submit a weekly customer filing summary table to ensure that all follow-up records are traceable
3. Trust Bridge and Remote Collaboration
As a trust link between the company (China headquarters) and customers in Nigeria, Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Tanzania, I use local language and culture to understand and resolve the distrust of long-distance procurement. I proactively initiate and assist in the implementation of "video factory exploration": when visiting customers, I connect to the Chinese factory through WhatsApp video on site, allowing customers to see the production line, product testing, and inventory situation in real time; When there is live or recorded video on the factory side, responsible for translating and explaining to customers, enhancing their confidence in the factory's strength, accurately conveying customer needs (power requirements, installation environment, budget, delivery time) to the domestic team, and following up on quotations and order execution
4. Market information feedback
Collect local competitor information (prices, configurations, sales channels), regularly submit market dynamics reports, provide feedback on customer opinions and suggestions on products, and assist the company in optimizing product configurations for the Nigerian market
Job Requirements
hard requirements
Nigerian native, fluent in English and one of the main local languages (Hausa/Yoruba/Igbo) for business communication, with priority given to marketing and engineering related majors, holding a valid driver's license, able to independently drive to visit customers - this is a mandatory requirement. Public transportation in Nigeria is inconvenient, and if unable to drive, efficient visits cannot be made. Bring your own motorcycle/car
Soft ability
Outgoing personality, good at dealing with people, with sales or customer visit experience preferred (not limited to the solar energy industry), diligent and down-to-earth, able to accept high-frequency outdoor home visits, basic computer operation skills (able to record customer information in Excel, send and receive emails)
Familiar with local wholesale markets (such as Alaba International Market, Computer Village in Lagos) or engineering installation circles
