Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified AP Psychology Teacher to join our High School faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, rigorous instruction aligned with the College Board AP Psychology curriculum while fostering students' curiosity about human behavior, cognition, and psychological research.
The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, experienced in preparing students for AP examinations, and committed to creating an inclusive, collaborative classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
Teach AP Psychology in accordance with the College Board curriculum and learning objectives.
Design and deliver engaging lessons that develop students' analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.
Prepare students effectively for the AP Psychology examination through structured review, formative assessment, and exam strategies.
Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials that meet high academic standards.
Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement and progress.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, curriculum planning, and school events.
Serve as an advisor or mentor to students when assigned.
Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school's mission and values.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Experience teaching Psychology at the high school level.
Excellent English communication skills (native or near-native proficiency).
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within an international teaching team.
Preferred
Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
Experience teaching AP Psychology with demonstrated student success on AP examinations.
Experience teaching in an international school or multicultural environment.
Familiarity with inquiry-based and student-centered instructional practices.
Experience using educational technology and learning management systems.
