Objective of the Position

• Lead Inorganic Material Processing (IMP) team to investigate BU needs and develop/provide inorganic processing solutions to BUs by closely collaborating with BU R&D;

• Understand business requirements, and integrate requirements into R&D activities and projects

Principal Accountabilities ( % of time, What, How and Why)

1/Business R&D activities (50%)

• Understand business strategy and link the competence building with strategy

• Define projects based on the business requirements and customer’s requirements

• Technical support on Ceramic business

2/ Competency/ solution development (40%)

• propose roadmap and develop IMP competences and platform, in good connection with other SG R&D centers

• Build strong connections with BU R&D projects in process and product

• deliver R&D projects

• Propose and implement exploratory studies, in line with BU today or tomorrow needs

3/ Networking and collaboration (10%)

• Build network with other SG R&D centers on process

• Exploratory projects with R&D team at other centers

• Build university and start-ups networking in APAC and develop adequate collaborations

Qualification & Skills

1. PhD or Master of Materials Physics and Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or inorganic processing or ceramic materials，inorganic material

2. Be familiar with processing equipment, especially with ceramic processing

3. PhD with more than 3 years, Master with more than 5 years of working experience is preferred, ceramic related experience is a plus

4. Fluent English.

5. Excellent listening and communication skills

6. Practical soft skills in projects management, customer orientation
