Job Summary

The Editor is responsible for maintaining integrity and producing quality assets for the language he or she is in charge of. The Editor must be a native Chinese speaker and must have a strong command of this language. Fluency in English is also highly desired.

Duties and responsibilities

• Editors will proofread and QC IYUNO products and services, including but not limited to subtitles, captions, dubbing scripts, etc to ensure quality (linguistic and technical)

• Proactively work on assignments throughout the life-cycle and provide feedback, whether linguistic or technical, to translators, proofreaders and QCers

• Work in tandem with Project Coordinators and Project Managers

• Produce assets that adhere to client’s guidelines and specs

• Editors must be able to finalize files before delivery

• Perform other related duties

Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's Degree

• Working experience in translation/linguistics/editing preferred

• Excellent writing and proofreading skills

• Able to work projects with deadline in a fast-paced environment.

• 优秀的中英语言能力，在完全理解中文内容的同时能够用自然、流畅、风格合适的英文妥善传达源语言含义；
• 审校视频字幕、配音稿等内容的翻译准确度、流畅度；
• 学习字幕时间轴的相关知识，必要时对其进行调整；
• 学习字幕文件技术相关知识，大致掌握不同品类的字幕格式及特点；
• 注重细节，严格遵守来自不同客户的格式要求；

• 
  能够快速学习并掌握IYUNO字幕制作平台的使用，乐于接受公司特有的各项技术工具；
• 较为熟练地操作电脑并能够较快地掌握新软件、平台；
• 良好的时间掌控能力，按时完成项目，配合整体交期；
• 沟通积极，配合本地PM或国外团队解决语言相关问题；
• 乐于解答国外团队有关中文内容的疑问。

要求资质

• 学士学位；
• 有翻译/语言/编辑等相关行业经验者优先；
• 出色的英语及审校能力；
• 快速适应工作环境和内容；
• 时间观念强，能够遵守既定交期。
