About AIG Shanghai Analytics Center (SAC)

SAC is one of the "Centers of Excellence" designated by AIG to provide analytics support to its global insurance businesses. The center has over 80 analysts with

• diverse educational backgrounds including actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, engineering, economics and finance;
• wide range of analytical knowledge and skills in PC and life actuarial (both pricing and reserving), investment analytics, risk analytics, capital analytics, data science and market intelligence;
• expansive services to all major business lines under finance, consumer insurance, commercial insurance, investment and enterprise risk management.

The broad range of analytics services provides an ideal setting for aspiring actuaries and other analysts to build and advance their careers in the global insurance industry.

The SAC Center-Wide Internship Program

This 10 week program is intended for undergraduate and graduate students who are approaching or in their final year of studies and interested in gaining hands-on experiences in the insurance industry that they may work in. The program will offer a combination of learning, doing and exploring. Those who perform well in this program will be invited to apply for our entry-level positions in due course.

Who are eligible?

• Active students who are in their final year of undergraduate or graduate studies, and
• can demonstrate analytical proficiency and interest in financial industry, and
• can communicate fluently in English
• is eligible to work in China.
