Hiring Position:

This company is hiring a Quality Control Engineer in China. In this position, you will need to be energetic, take initiative, and have a broad understanding of engineering, packaging, manufacturing processes, as they’ll as sufficient experience working directly and independently with sourcing agents, testing labs, and factories. Strong attention to details is needed.

Responsibility:

• Be present at factories during development and production on this company’s private label products.
• Monitor production to make sure all goods are made to agreed specs and approval samples.
• Be able to stop or pull bad products off the production line and educate the factory on how to improve and not repeat the mistakes.
• Review samples, identify and provide instruction on any needed improvement
• Report and discuss via emails and conference calls with Sourcing & Quality Managers on any sample status.
• Provide detail reports on any samples review to Sourcing Managers
• Define product specification requirement. Verify, and confirm product specification, bill of material, drawings, and packaging die lines provided by factories.
• Instruct and monitor any in-house testing at factory and provide testing report.
• Evaluate, verify, get approval, and approve any product spec, component, running changes.
• Detail documented and inspect all the critical quality check points on each round samples
• Lead the QA section on pre-production meeting and go through all the critical quality check point with factories and sourcing agent, and suggest necessary checking points for the pre-inspection protocol.
• Sampling and Inspecting constantly during mass production, run performance & function test with factory QC team as needed.
• Direct, monitor and instruct sourcing agent QA team on any in-line and final inspections
• Provide timely product quality issue mitigation
• Daily communication with U.S. private brand team and sourcing agent (day, night and weekends).

Requirement:

• 
  BA in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. Or, strong quality engineering background.
• 3-5 years of experience (Pet industry related preferred)
• Understanding of Documentation Control including the use of :
• Bill of Materials
• Product Specification
• ECR(Engineering Change Request) and ECN(Engineering Change Notification)
• Authorization to Ship
• Require For Quotation (RFQ)
• Experience working with Sourcing Agent / Buying Office preferred
• Ability to travel to different factories (between different cities, Nantong, Yuncheng, Shaoxing, Changshu, Anji and Kunshan) frequently and on regular basis.
• Ability to attend late night conference calls with U.S. team and sourcing agent
• Ability to work with different personnel and team.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and get their hands dirty
• Positive thinking, Willingness to learn, and can-do attitude
• Must be fluent in English speaking, excellent at reading and writing.
