Position: Marketing Director (China)

Location: Huangpu District, Shanghai
We are looking for a passionate marketing leader who believes in our brand and is committed to delivering change to the education sector in China. A person who thrives on the opportunity to grow a prestigious British brand in the early childhood sector. Reporting directly to and closely working with the GM, you will be a proven marketing executive. You will be responsible for the growth and development of our brand in China. You will take ownership of our marketing strategy in China and hold everyone and everything within the company true to our brand. Leading and developing a high performing team will be critical to the success of this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
? Responsible for growing the company brand and helping establish it as the number one blended learning ELT and 21st Century skills learning ecosystem in the early learning years sector in China;
? Working with the senior leadership team, you will help set the overall strategy for China and help set the direction of the business;
? Marketing Strategy - responsible for the preparation of the strategic marketing plan for all of company’s services and products in China;
? Including all inbound marketing (digital, trade shows, knowledge leadership, brand awareness) and outbound marketing (market analysis and research, target list creation/acquisition, referral sources);
? Manages delivery of Brand performance in line with P&L metrics & targets, especially account activation rates;
? Identify and leverage customer insights to strengthen Brand, including strong implementation skills regarding Net Promoter Score data acquisition;
? Develop channel partnerships with relevant industry players distributing similarly positioned products and brands into Kindergarten and training centres;
? Channel Marketing
? Superb social media skills with an emphasis on Wechat, Weibo, Douyin and Kuaishou as well as early adoption skills for new and upcoming media channels;
? Event management and media collaboration experience;
? Skilled in developing Merchandising and other adjacent products;
? Lead generation for the B2B sales team to convert
? Input into product development (offline and digital products)
? You will identify new business opportunities for the company and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and a number of significant external stakeholders in China, including government departments, universities, media partners, distribution partners, corporate partners, etc.
? You will be in regular contact with the Head Office (Sydney) to ensure alignment of product and growth strategies and occasionally travel to Sydney to meet with the product team.
Candidate Requirements:
? Fluent in both Mandarin and English;
? 10+ years’ work experience, preferably in a B2B or B2C education business;
? You have a proven track record of building a marketing strategy and executing on it;
? You are willing to try out new ideas to identify growth-hacking opportunities;
? You have an analytical mind combined with outstanding people skills;
? You are a pure team player, with natural leadership skills. You can motivate people to reach their full potential;
? High degree of self-awareness, know and understand your blind spots;
? Proven ability to function at a high level in the uncertain and competitive start-up/high growth tech environment;
? Experience launching and growing digital or blended learning products in the Chinese market.
