MacArtney Singapore Pte. Ltd seeks: System Sales Manager for China.
Owing to the ongoing expansion of our operations and activities in China, MacArtney is looking for a System Sales Manager for our Ningbo office; we will base in Ningbo China.
The successful candidate will be responsible for system sales and support to current customers and seek out new opportunities for the MacArtney underwater systems and product lines in China. The right candidate will coordinate, co-operate and report to the System sales Manager in Singapore.
Duties will include:
- Direct sales and technical support to existing customers.
- Develop new market segments, new customers and be responsible for developing sales in China.
- Participate in the planning of a successful strategy for business development in China.
- Participate and handle Government Tender.
- Quotation and order handling
- Support our partners in China with technical knowledge.
- Coordination with various departments within the company to handle customer requests.
- Work up new accounts - working independently to find new customers and product applications.
- Assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs.
- Providing customer support post sale.
- Organise and attending trade shows and networking events.
- It is expected that chosen candidate take part in developing and maintaining close contact and communication between the office in China and Singapore.
- Travel activities can be expected and in addition to the employee is expected to participate in other company activities as agreed.
- Other Ad-Hoc tasks in the organisation.
Our new System Sales Manager must hold a substantial technical understanding, backed by education. Relevant experience in dealing with underwater technology systems, equipment and items, winches and launch and recovery systems is preferred.
Preferred theoretical and practical background:
3-5 years of experience within Ocean Science or Oil & Gas or underwater technology related industry.- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales.
- At least College diploma or Degree with strong mechanical/electrical engineering background.
- Technical knowledge on Winch & LARS or related Underwater product will be added advantage, but not a must as training will be provided
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Basic communication and writing English skills.
- Knowledge & Experience in Government Tender procedure & requirement is preferred.
- Frequent travel to visit customer.
- Salary will commensurate with experience.
