Responsibilities：

• Ability to undertake one or more battery CAE simulations::

• Battery thermal analysis
• Battery structural FEA
• Battery crash analysis
• Battery electro-thermal analysis
• Battery system 1D cooling
• etc

• Liaison with customers
• Liaison with responsible experts in AVL headquarters (Graz) for alignment of CAE methods, workflows and processes
• Support to sales team for project acquisition
• Support to project managers for project execution
• Technical report writing in English
• Preparation of technical presentations
• Presentations in English and Chinese in front of customers
• Training of client engineers
• Undertaking other activities within AVL as required
• CAE project leader (leading and coordinating CAE tasks, senior level)
• Supervision/support of other junior engineers (senior level)
• Know-how transfer to other junior engineers (senior level)
• Support of other skill teams
• Development of new simulation methodologies
• Undertaking R&D activities
• Support of other activities within AVL as required

Qualifications:

1. Pro-active, enthusiastic, good natured and self-motivated

2. Strong problem solving skills

3. Good team player

4. Minimum of Master’s degree

5. Minimum 4 (specialist level) or 8 (senior level) years experience in battery simulation

6. Strong knowledge of the battery from cell to system and BEV

7. Understanding of the battery/e-drive system safety and relevant regulations

8. Strong liaison competence with customers for battery development projects

9. Ability to provide a strong technical support to sales team for project acquisition

10. AVL FIRE, FLOWMASTER and ABAQUS experience preferred

11. Good knowledge of hybrid powertrain and vehicles

12. Excellent command of English & Chinese languages in reading, speaking and writing

13. Multi-culture experience preferred

14. Excellent computing skills

15. Good presentation and communication skills in both English and Chinese

16. Able to work under pressure

17. Able to deliver quality results under time constraint

18. Time management and project management skills (senior level)
